Greek Advisory Board's First Meeting

Hurricane Irene may have thrown us off for the first week of school, but there were still two individuals were able to make our first Greek Advisory Board meeting along with myself and the Student Activities Intern.  We met in the Student Union and discussed all things Greek at RIC.  The topics included recruitment, philanthropy, scholarship and much more.  There was also a discussion about where Greek Life would be going in the future at RIC and what Faculty and Staff Greek members can do to assist the Greeks at RIC.  Our meeting was very positive and I feel confident that with time we will have a very strong Greek Advisory Board.  Making connections with other Greeks on campus is only going to benefit the undergraduates and helping the Greek system as a whole grow.  I am scheduling meetings with those who could not attend last night and hopefully our next meeting at the end of September/beginning of October will have everyone who signed up in attendance.  Great connections made & moving forward!
